Sean has been a part of the Meadows Marlins family for many years, serving in just about every role imaginable—parent, announcer, starter, Equipment Manager, Treasurer, Team President, and now Head Coach. If it happens on deck, there’s a good chance Sean’s had a hand in it at some point.
He has called Meadows Place home for over two decades alongside his wife, Sari, and their son, Caleb, who has grown up in the Marlins program and continues to compete.
Sean’s swimming background runs deep. He grew up swimming for Creekstone Crocodiles, Katy Aquatics, and Mayde Creek High School, and has coached across a wide range of programs over the years, including YMCA teams, 24 Hour Fitness Swim Program, Kerr McGee Swim Club, Team YES, Episcopal High School, and Lone Star Swim Team. His experience spans everything from developmental swimmers to competitive athletes, always with a focus on building strong fundamentals and confidence in the water.
Today, Sean balances a full-time career in real estate, but his passion for swimming and coaching has never gone anywhere. He brings a high-energy, team-first approach to the Marlins, where the goal is simple: compete hard, have fun, and make sure every swimmer feels like they’re part of something bigger than themselves.
Sean believes summer league swimming should be equal parts competition, growth, and controlled chaos—in the best way possible. From teaching proper technique and competitive skills to creating an environment where cheering for your teammates is non-negotiable, his focus is on building both swimmers and team culture.
Sean says, “It’s an honor to lead a team that has meant so much to so many families over the years. The Meadows Marlins aren’t just a swim team—they’re a tradition built by both the people who came before us and the families who show up every day. We’re going to work hard, have a lot of fun, and make sure this season is one this group is proud to be part of.”
Cailyn grew up overseas in Peru, but her family has called Meadows Place home for six years now. She attends Abilene Christian University, where she is a double major in Communication Studies and Christian Ministry. In the Fall, Cailyn plans on studying abroad in Oxford.
She swam competitively for 7 years, and stopped at the end of her sophomore year. She has enjoyed being a junior coach for Meadows Marlins in past summers, and is excited to return as an assistant coach. She is joyful and energetic, and is excited to be a part of something she knows to be so fun and engaging for the swimmers in this neighborhood. She can't wait to help the Marlins be excited to grow and develop their skills this summer!
Austin is originally from San Antonio and grew up there for about 10 years. He was recruited to swim for the University of St. Thomas. He is currently majoring in Biochemistry and is the Lead Researcher in his lab.
He has been swimming for about six years and has been a collegiate swimmer for the past two years. He has obtained many finalist positions at the yearly conference meet and helped to drive the team to a 2nd place finish this season.
He is a competitive person but also likes to have fun, and has plans to bring aspects of both of those traits to the Marlins and help grow the love of this sport for all of the younger swimmers. He can't wait to carry what he's learned to our Marlins!
